ShowUp: terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Cenix AB, organisationsnummer 559602-4801 (“we”, “us”), about using ShowUp. When you create an account, you accept them, the community guidelines and the privacy policy.

You must be at least 16 years old. You’re responsible for your account and for what you post with it. Use one account, with your real name or the name your friends know you by.

ShowUp helps small circles of friends ask each other for real help, such as reading a post, testing an app or giving feedback. Friends mark an ask as done when they’ve helped, and the app keeps a fair balance of who has helped whom. ShowUp is free.

Points are a thank-you ledger between friends. They have no money value. You can’t buy, sell, transfer or redeem them, and they don’t give you any feature or reward. We may change how points are counted at any time.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a limited licence to store it and show it to the members of the circle you share it in, only to run ShowUp. You confirm that you have the right to share any link or text you post.

Follow the community guidelines. In particular, don’t use ShowUp to ask for or trade ratings, reviews, likes, upvotes, follows, installs or any other engagement that misleads an app store, a social network or the public.

Don’t use it to harass, threaten, bully or hate on anyone; to share sexual content, graphic violence, or anything that sexualises or endangers minors; to spam, scam, impersonate someone, or share malware or phishing links; or to break the law, or the rules of the platforms your links point to.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We act on every report within 24 hours. If you break these rules, we can remove your content, suspend your account or ban you for good.

We try to keep ShowUp running and to fix the bugs we learn about, but ShowUp is free and we can’t promise that it always works. We may change, pause or end features, or ShowUp itself.

We’re not responsible for what other users post, or for the websites and apps that links point to.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using ShowUp or from not being able to use it. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intent or gross negligence, for personal injury, or for anything else the law does not let us limit.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we update this page and the date at the top. We also tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using ShowUp after that, the new terms apply. A change never applies to what happened before it.

Swedish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights that the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live gives you, including your right to go to court there.
