ShowUp: community guidelines

Ask for real help: an honest read, a real test or specific feedback. When you mark an ask as done, mean it: it means you did the thing.

Skipping is always fine. Nobody owes anyone help.

App stores and social networks ban coordinated ratings, reviews and engagement, and so do we. Don’t ask your circle to rate or review an app, product or business; to like, upvote, react to, comment on, follow, subscribe to or reshare something to push it up; or to install an app just to raise its numbers, or join a pod or “engagement group”.

Ask for what helps instead: “test my beta and tell me what broke”, “read my post and tell me if the intro works”.

No harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation. No hate speech or slurs, and nothing that attacks people for who they are.

Don’t share someone’s private information without their permission.

Nudge gently. The app limits nudges, and one is usually enough.

No sexual content or nudity, and no graphic violence. Absolutely nothing that sexualises, exploits or endangers minors: we remove it, ban the account and report it to the police.

No scams, phishing, malware, or links to illegal content. No impersonation or fake profiles.

No promoting self-harm. If you’re struggling, please reach out to someone you trust or a local helpline.

Tap the three dots on any ask, win, profile or circle and choose Report, or email felix@cenix.se. Reports are private.

You can also block someone: you won’t see their asks or wins, they won’t see yours, and they can’t nudge you.

Every report goes to our moderator, Felix Cenusa. We act on every report within 24 hours. Depending on what happened, we remove content, warn the person, suspend them or ban them for good. Circle owners can also remove members from their circle.
